Basketball tickets won at draft event

Six happy basketball fans were the winners of opening game night tickets to the Island’s new National Basketball League of Canada team set to begin play in the fall at Credit Union Place.

The winners had their names drawn during the televised inaugural NBL draft Sunday night.

Tina Mundy, Friends of Island Pro Basketball, left, presented the winners with their tickets. The winners are from the left front row Elisaj Savioe, Keith Johnston, Logan MacDougall and David Cordiner. Back from the left William Judson and Paul Creighan.
