The Kensington Crusaders won the Peewee AA Island Baseball championship with a 12-2 victory over Stratford recently.

Tournament MVP Kyle Pinksen was dominant in the game striking out 10, walking four and giving up just four hits in five and a third innings. Drew Grady finished up the game striking out the two batters.

Losing pitcher MacKenzie Pinet and Shamus Keoughan surrendered nine hits, walked two and struck out four.

Top batters for Kensington were Pinksen going 3-for-4 and Grady 3-for-4 with a triple. For Stratford, Shamus Keoughan and Brian Leslie were 1-for-2.

In the semifinals Kensington defeated Georgetown 13-5 while Stratford edged Cornwall 7-6.

In the ‘B’ division of the tournament, Richmond defeated Summerside 2 in a 15-13 final match to claim the Island ‘B’ championship.
