FOXBORO, Mass. - Three young hockey players from Prince County were selected to play for the Atlantic Selects' novice major team in a tournament here recently.

Bennett MacArthur of Summerside, Brad Morrissey of Tignish and Chase Gaudette, also of Tignish, played with the Moncton-based Selects. MacArthur, Morrissey and Gaudette were members of Xtreme Hockey's 2010 elite novice major spring team.

 

Undefeated

In Foxboro, the Atlantic team went 5-0 (won-lost) in tournament play. They beat four American teams and one Maritime squad.

The Selects edged the Bay State Breakers from Cape Cod 3-2 in the championship game, after defeating the East Coast Express from Saint John, N.B., 7-6 earlier in the day to advance to the championship game.
