The Summerside Western Capitals edged the Dieppe Commandos 3-2 in a shootout at Eastlink Arena in Summerside on Tuesday, Oct. 9. Mitch Maynard scored the only goal of the shootout in the fourth round. The win improved the Roger Meek Division-leading Capitals’ record to 7-1-1-0 (won-lost-overtime losses-shootout losses). The Capitals’ next home game is against the Bridgewater Lumberjacks on Sunday, Oct.14, at 2 p.m.
