To the Editor,
When I read the story in the Journal-Pioneer about the mayor and deputy-mayor questioning the prices and rational behind the purchasing of two new unmarked police service vehicles, one would almost get the impression the mayor and deputy-mayor were practicing due diligence and being good guardians of taxpayers money.
I only wish that were true, because these two had no problem throwing away 1.3 million of taxpayers money on the failed concert fiasco.
This city would be much further ahead if it had that money to put towards much needed purchases and programs for the citizens of Summerside. Due diligence and good guardians of taxpayers money are not qualities the mayor and deputy-mayor possess.
