Ignatieff to visit Summerside this weekend

Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff will make a campaign stop in Prince County this Saturday.

Malpeque MP Wayne Easter confirmed Tuesday that Ignatieff would attend a Liberal Party campaign rally at Summerside's Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club.

Ignatieff is the third federal party leader to visit the Island during the lead-up to the May 2 election, following earlier visits by Conservative leader Stephen Harper and NDP leader Jack Layton.

The rally begins at 3:30 p.m.
