SUMMERSIDE – New playground equipment is coming to three city parks.
Green spaces in the Lefurgey subdivision, on Tower Street and at Centennial Park will see the new equipment installed beginning Sept. 2.

Park users are asked to reframe from using the new equipment until the installation is complete, which will take about two days at each location.
City officials have said new park equipment is a high priority.
The City of Summerside maintains and manages 17 parks throughout the community, 14 of which include playground equipment. The city also cares for more than 19 kilometers of trails and boardwalks as well as over 120 acres of passive green spaces.
