WELLINGTON – Registrations are now being accepted for French programs that will be offered this fall by Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É. in Charlottetown, Summerside, Montague and Deblois.

The Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É. offers several options: evening classes, self-directed courses, tutoring and maintenance courses. The next evening classes and maintenance courses will start in mid-September. The deadline for registration is Aug. 15. Registration for self-directed courses and tutoring can be done at any time.

Evening classes are held once a week for 11 weeks, for a total course length of 33 hours. The conversational French program offers four beginner levels, four intermediate levels as well as advanced courses. They are taught using a combination of experiential and communicative approaches.

Evening courses will be scheduled based on the majority group preference.

For those who need more flexibility, Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É. offers a program called Pour l’amour du français. This program is organized entirely around the student’s schedule and combines self-directed learning based on online modules with support from tutors available by Skype or by phone.

Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É. also offers flexible tutoring services customized to each individual client’s needs and schedule.

Those who are already fluent in French but who need a place to practice can take French maintenance courses.  These combine informal conversation, a review of certain points of grammar and class presentations.
