Only two shows left this summer in Mont-Carmel

MONT-CARMEL – The seventh of eight shows this summer hosted by the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel is set for this Sunday.

The performers will include Gary Gallant; Albert, Mona and Louise Arsenault; Jordan Cameron; and Norman, Paula and Shane Arsenault.

Singer/songwriter Gary Gallant has many years of experience performing on stage. Over time, his songs have received quite a bit of radio play and have been featured on television. He is an artist who manages to express himself through his songs as well as on stage with a captivating presence. 

Albert, Mona and Louise Arsenault, three members of The Docksiders, will also be among the artists taking the stage during the next show in Mont-Carmel. This trio will perform a series of contemporary songs.  

Armed with a guitar and a ukulele, Jordan Cameron will be back on the stage. The young singer/songwriter has been performing steadily since 2009, when he released his first album. Since that time, he has been nominated in the Folk Recording of the Year Award category at ECMA 2012 for his newest CD titled "My, What a Lovely Hate." His newest release “Your History” earned him three nominations at the 2014 Music PEI Awards, which included a nomination in the Songwriter of the Year category.

Also, Norman Arsenault, a well-known fiddler from the Evangeline region, accompanied by his wife Paula and his son Shane, will also perform. Their spirited melodies will warm up the floor for Paula Arsenault.

The concert take place Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Mont-Carmel Parish Hall (5786 Route 11, Mont-Carmel) doors open at 6:15 p.m. Seating is limited. Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for students, Preschoolers get in free.
