Papers from vehicle found in West Prince

SUMMERSIDE — Papers from a truck stolen from a city home late last week have been recovered in West Prince.

But that’s the only sign of the vehicle, which was stolen overnight on Aug. 1 from the driveway of Myrtle Street home, said Sgt. Joe Peters with Summerside Police Services.

The truck is a 2003 Ford F150, silver in colour, with P.E.I. license plate 400NG.

Peters said the theft remains under investigation. He wouldn’t comment on whether or not the keys of the vehicle were in the ignition when the truck was stolen.

Anyone with information or who may have seen someone suspicious in the area overnight on Aug. 1 is asked to contact Summerside Police Services at 902-432-1201 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

No photo of the stolen truck was available.
