STRATFORD — Queens District RCMP are looking for the public’s help in finding the driver in a hit-and-run accident in which a cyclist was forced off the road.

The accident occurred on July 31 at about 5:30 p.m. in Stratford.

A blue Chevrolet Aveo struck a young man riding a bicycle.

RCMP said that the cyclist attempted to turn left onto Heron Drive from Wren Drive after signalling his intention to turn.

The blue Aveo came from behind the cyclist then passed him on his left and turned right onto Heron Drive. The vehicle hit the cyclist’s elbow and forced him into the ditch.

The cyclist only suffered bruises from the collision.

The driver of the blue Chevrolet Aveo is described as a female, about 20 years of age, with a thin build and black hair in a ponytail.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Queens District RCMP at 902-368-9300 or Crime Stoppers.
