On Monday at 9:30 p.m. Kings District RCMP were conducting the roadside check in the Kings County community when the 40-year-old woman was stopped.

After detecting liquor on her breath she provided a sample of her breath roadside. The sample resulted in her being taken to the Montague RCMP Detachment where she provided two further breath samples, each indicating that her blood contained above the legal limit of alcohol.

The woman was lodged overnight at the Provincial Correctional Centre and will appear in provincial court at a later date to face charges of impaired driving and driving with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in her blood.
