Two men face drunk driving charges after complaints from the public led to arrests in Prince and Kings counties over the weekend.

Complaints from the public led to the arrests of two men for drunk driving over the weekend.

On Sunday evening, a 25-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving in the Commercial Cross area after Montague RCMP received a tip and description of the vehicle from a caller. The driver was taken to Montague detachment, where he provided breath samples twice the legal limit.

He was sent to jail to sober up.

On Saturday, East Prince RCMP received a complaint that people were littering at Thunder Cove Beach in Darnley.

Mounties stopped a vehicle and determined the male driver was impaired. He will appear in Summerside Provincial Court at a later date to enter a plea.

Both East Prince and Montague RCMP issued reminders to the public to continue to call police any time they witness signs of impaired driving.

Why is it that in one case, the guy was sent to jail to sober up while the other guy will go to court?

Schedule a visit to Douglas, with time served you likely wont even get house arrest.
