A 22-year-old Borden-Carleton man will be appearing court in September to answer to charges of refusal to provide a breath sample and possession of cannabis marijuana.
On Saturday, July 26 at just before 4 a.m., members of the East Prince RCMP responded to a single-vehicle collision in North Tryon on Highway 1.
Police determined the man had been the operator of the vehicle and had the smell of liquor on his breath.
The 22-year-old was given a demand for a breath sample, and was subsequently arrested when failing to comply.
He was also found to be in possession of cannabis marijuana, and it was determined he was on parole and was in violation of one or more of the conditions of his parole.
A parole warrant was issued for his return to custody in the federal prison system.
