IWK big winner in trout fishing derby

MILL RIVER -- Thirty-six anglers took part in the sixth annual Roy Chaisson Memorial fishing derby recently and raised $650 for the chosen charity, the IWK Children’s Hospital.

From left are Donald Arsenault who landed a three pound 11 ounce beauty, Jelissa and Carson Chaisson; Billy Paynter, who took second place with a Two pound 11 ounce trout; Nadine Chaisson and Leonce Arsenault who claimed third with a one pound, five ounce catch. 

Donald Arsenault was the big winner, hooking a three pound, 11 ounce trout. Billy Paynter took second place for a trout weighing two pounds, 11 ounces, and Leonce Arsenault landed a one pound, five ounce trout to claim third place.

Besides his trophy, Donald Arsenault also received a rod and reel prize for landing the derby’s biggest trout.
