Centre reserved for Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall

CHARLOTTETOWN – The Confederation Centre will be closed Tuesday morning, May 20, for the red-carpet visit by Their Highnesses, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.

The closure includes the Art Gallery, Mavor’s restaurant, the Showcase gift shop, and the general concourse area, states the media release for the event. The administration will remain accessible by phone. Box office lines remain active during the visit, and online ticket sales will remain accessible at www.confederation centre.com.

The complex will be closed to the public until 1 p.m.

The public is welcome to be on hand as Their Royal Highnesses walk from Province House down the amphitheatre steps into Memorial Hall at Confederation Centre between 10:30 and 11:00 a.m. The Royals will exit the Centre via Victoria Row at about noon, where diners at the pedestrian mall will have an opportunity to welcome the visitors.

Confederation Centre staff thank the pubic for their understanding of the interruption of operating hours. For any further information, contact Joy Gallant, director of guest services at 902-629-6118.
