28-year-old woman airlifted to Halifax and placed in Intensive Care Unit

ROSEBANK - On May 17, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Prince District RCMP and Island EMS responded to a 911 alert that a pedestrian had been struck by a tractor trailor near the John Deere dealership at Bloomfield Corner.


The 28-year-old Lennox Island female sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision and was taken to the Prince County Hospital, before being air lifted to Halifax.  She is currently in the Intensive Care Unit of the Queen Elizabeth II hospital in Halifax. Her condition was unknown as of Sunday evening. 

The driver of the truck was uninjured.  Prince County RCMP are continuing the investigation with the assistance of their collision analyst.
