CHARLOTTETOWN – Roller derby returns to Charlottetown on Saturday, May 17, at the Cody Banks Arena for the 2014 season opener. Red Rock n' Roller Derby will kick off their fourth season with a double header, featuring Charlottetown's Moonshine Maidens versus Halifax Black Rock Bandits at 5:30 p.m., and Summerside's Twisted Sisters versus Halifax Dead Ringers at 7:30 p.m.

Whether new to the sport or a seasoned fan of Red Rock n Roller Derby, all are welcome to come out and support two P.E.I. roller derby teams in one night.

Doors open to the public at 5 p.m. Admission is $6 or $5 with a food bank donation.

Since its inception in 2011, Red Rock n Roller Derby has been non-profit, and volunteer-driven league, existing solely through the passion that the players and volunteers have for the sport. Each skater doubles as a volunteer, along with numerous volunteer referees, non-skating officials, and behind-the scenes supporters, keeping roller derby alive on P.EI..
