Ottawa police seek possible P.E.I. victims of sex offences

A former resident of P.E.I. has been charged with sexual offences in Ottawa and police there are concerned he may have committed similar offences here.

André Marcil, age 65, has been charged with two counts of gross indecency by Ottawa Police Service, sexual assault and child abuse section.

The charges follow an investigation into incidents that date back to 1968 involving a teenager.

The investigation began in April after a female victim came forward to police.

Marcil has lived in P.E.I., Québec and Ontario and Ottawa police are concerned there could be other victims in these provinces.
