RCMP execute drug search warrant

CHARLOTETOWN - Queens District RCMP Street Crime Unit executed a controlled drugs and substances search warrant, Monday, at a residence on St. Peters Road.

The search resulted in the seizure of a quantity of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. A 33 year-old man was arrested at the scene without incident. The man resides at the residence and has been released from police custody with a plea date of June 30 in Charlottetown provincial court. The charges pending include possession for the purpose of trafficking in marijuana and trafficking in marijuana. 

The name of the suspect has not been released, as charges have not been laid.

    I think the general public and law enforcement should be more concerned with the presence of Bacchus on PEI... Trust me seeing it first hand ... They are the big boyys here...

    No Drugs other than pot? If that is the case it was a waste of time and money. Pot should be legal and the taxes going to help our province not the profit to a few and our money wasted trying to fight it
