RCMP are expected to release details Monday about a body found near the Hurry Road area of Charlottetown over the weekend.
Police and Island EMS were in the area early Sunday afternoon after receiving a report of a body found in the area.
While RCMP confirmed the report to TC Media Sunday, it is unknown exactly where the body was found.
The area is close to Upton Park and the North River Causeway at the entrance to Charlottetown.
The body has yet to be identified and an RCMP spokesperson said details would likely be released overnight or early Monday.
In an apparently unrelated incident, RCMP responded to a report early Sunday evening of a person in distress in the West River.
The spokesperson said that search was called off later in the evening and is being ruled as probable debris in the water.
