Repeat offender sentenced for impaired driving

SUMMERSIDE – A Glenwood man was sentenced on Monday for impaired driving and other related offences. 

Justin Lloyd MacDonald, 28, was in Summerside Provincial Court on Monday, where he pleaded guilty to two counts of impaired driving, two counts of driving while disqualified, one count of dangerous driving and one count of failing to appear in court when summoned.

He was ordered to serve 295 days in jail, minus 15 days for time served and will be subject to a driving ban for five years. 

On Oct. 25, 2012, MacDonald was charged with driving while disqualified and dangerous driving (he was under a driving ban for a previous impaired driving conviction), then on May 3, 2013, he was again charged with impaired driving and finally on April 5, 2013, he was charged with impaired driving and driving while disqualified.
