Maritime Electric crews, boosted by good weather, are making progress in their efforts to reconnect hundreds of homes still without power in Western P.E.I.
Company spokeswoman Kim Griffin said early this afternoon that about 1,100 customers were still without power.
Many Island homes lost electricity during Monday’s spat of freezing rain, which was made worse by nearly 30 cm of snow that fell that night.
Griffin said another update would be coming by 5 p.m.
