SUMMERSIDE - Summerside Police Services is reminding the motoring public to remain off city streets today unless absolutely necessary.

Summerside Police Services

Police report several cases of white-out conditions in different areas of the city making driving conditions difficult and a public safety issue.

The public is also being reminded of the following section of the city's Traffic & Parking Bylaw which states:

“In order to facilitate snow removal from the streets of the city, during the period of November 1st to April 30th, no person shall park a motor vehicle on any streets within the city or on property owned by the city between the hours of 1 a.m. and 6 a.m., except with the permission of the chief of police or his/her designate.”

Summerside Police Services would like to thank the motoring public for their anticipated cooperation. Please stay safe.
