CASCUMPEC -- West Prince RCMP attended to two single vehicle collisions just a few kilometers apart late Monday afternoon.

Cst. Matt LeFurgey said a young adult male lost control of his late model Honda Civic on Route Two near the Highway 12 turn-off to Cascumpec. The west-bound vehicle crossed the highway and went into the ditch on the left side of the highway and rolled. The driver escaped injury but LeFurgey said the vehicle is a write-off. Road conditions were fine at that location.

Just a few minutes earlier, however, a driver lost control of her vehicle on a slick section of Highway 12 near Brooklyn and landed in the ditch. There were no injuries. Police were providing traffic control while the vehicle was removed form the ditch. The Department of Transportation was contacted to apply sand at that location, he said.
