Le marche international dews professionels de l’mmobilier (MIMPIM), the world’s property market, brings together the most influential players from all international property sectors - office, residential, retail, health care, sport, logistics and industrial - offering access to the greatest number of development projects and sources of capital worldwide

The event is one of the largest in the world. In 2013 it involved 40,000 square metres of exhibition space, 2,000 exhibiting companies from 80 countries. There were 20,000 individual participants along with 460 journalists, 300 CEOs and chairmen and 4,300 investors.

Summerside sent a delegation to MIPIM after their planned Greenwood eco-business park won an award from the Canadian Business Development Agency, which included a stand at the show.

The city is exhibiting its opportunities alongside of places such as London, Moscow and Istanbul.

Among those making the trip to France was Summerside Mayor Basil Stewart and the city’s economic development director, Mike Thususka.

The city’s booth at the conference provided worldwide developers with information about Summerside, Prince Edward Island and Canada to perspective investors.

The trip is giving Summerside a unique opportunity to showcase what it has to offer on an international level and is looking for clients that will fit in with the environmental direction the city has taken.

The Summerside delegation was travelling back from France, Monday and was unavailable for comment.
