Starting this week, Island Girl Guides will begin their annual iconic snack-based fundraiser.

Each box of cookies is $5 and goes to support the youth organization’s programs on P.E.I.

In addition to selling to raise funds for themselves, the Guides will also be selling cookies to be sent to Island members of the Canadian Forces serving overseas.

Guides will be asking customers if they’d like to purchase for themselves, soldiers, or both.

With more than 10,000 members, Girl Guides is the largest organization for girls in Canada.

On Saturday, April 12th, Girl Guides and Sears will be partnering again to sell Girl Guide cookies at the store in Charlottetown between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Organizations: Canadian Forces

Geographic location: Iceland, Canada, Charlottetown
