SUMMERSIDE – A 34-year-old Abrams Village woman was sentenced to five days in jail after pleading guilty in Summerside provincial court to impaired driving.

Tanya Elizabeth Clark was arrested by police on Dec. 10 after her vehicle left the roadway and stopped in a field.

Police responded to a call of a motor vehicle in a ditch off of Route 2 and found Clarks car, with the headlights still on sitting of the road surface.

A breathalyzer demand was made and Clark recorded readings of 220 and 210.

In addition to the jail sentence, Clark was fined $1,500, ordered to pay a victim fine surcharge of $150 and lost her driving privileges for one year.
