CUP sets up viewing for Humphries/Moyse runs

SUMMERSIDE - The City of Summerside is inviting everyone to Credit Union Place to cheer on Heather Moyse as she goes for the gold in bobsleigh at the Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

 

“Heather is a wonderful ambassador for Summerside as she travels the world representing Canada, Prince Edward Island and her hometown of Summerside,” said Summerside Mayor Basil Stewart. “I encourage everyone to come out to Credit Union place to cheer her on as she tries for a second gold medal in Sochi.”

Moyse’s first two heats are scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 11:15 a.m. and 12:23 p.m. Her final two heats are on Wednesday Feb. 19 at 12:15 p.m. and 1:23 p.m. 

“I wish Ms. Moyse the very best of luck,” said Councillor Jim Steele, Chair of the City of Summerside’s Community Services Committee. “I know we are all very proud of all her accomplishments and hope she does very well in Russia. Everyone is invited to the CUP to watch her try for another Olympic medal.”    

Everyone is also encouraged to red and white to cheer on Team Canada and support r hometown hero Heather Moyse.

There are several viewing screens located throughout the building so no one will miss a minute of the action. For more information call 432-1234.
