WOODSTOCK – Singer-musician Meaghan Blanchard and comedian Daryn Jones will be keynote speakers at the fourth annual Young Entrepreneurs Forum March 12 at the Rodd Mill River Resort.

Blanchard, who won the 2014 country recording of the year award at the recent P.E.I. Music Awards, has toured extensively, including a recent stop at the Up West Winterfest’s Winter Blast.

A professional standup since he was 17, Jones co-wrote and co-starred in the Buzz which aired on the Comedy Network for seven seasons. He was the host and creative producer of MTV Live from 2006-12, wrote for and appeared on the Rick Mercer Report, was a correspondent for CTV during the 2010 Winter Olympics, co-hosted the live national search for Dorothy on CBC’s Over the Rainbow and he has his own segment during Hockey Night in Canada.

Jones, who tweets daily to more than 150,000 followers has chosen as his theme for the Young Entrepreneurs Forum, “Say Hello to Everybody.”

The theme for the forum is, “Celebrating Traditions…Creating Opportunities,” a reference to 2014 being the 150th anniversary of the Charlottetown Conference which led to the birth of this nation.

The forum is aimed at young people between the ages of 16 and 34. Its focus, explained forum coordinator Cletus Dunn, is to appreciate entrepreneurs of the past and to look forward to the opportunities the future holds.
