Blizzard conditions intensifying

Storm conditions are slowly worsening across the Island this afternoon.

A low pressure system continues to track northeastward as it passes east of Nova Scotia and is still expected to bring significant snowfall amounts of 15 to 30 centimetres to P.E.I. Strong winds and blowing snow have begun in the province and will continue into this evening.

This morning's light snow has begun to intensify blizzard conditions are forecast this evening with winds gusting at times to 80 kilometres per hour.

    i feel sorry for the staff of any busainess on PEI. just to make a dollar the owners open then a few hours later they close and the staff we hope gets home safe. if they do not i blame the owners of he business. on days like this only places like drug stores,ems,hospitals,police be open who cares if the banks are open and close the booze stores. what is more important making a dollar of a life?
