A low pressure system continues to track northeastward as it passes east of Nova Scotia and is still expected to bring significant snowfall amounts of 15 to 30 centimetres to P.E.I. Strong winds and blowing snow have begun in the province and will continue into this evening.
This morning's light snow has begun to intensify blizzard conditions are forecast this evening with winds gusting at times to 80 kilometres per hour.
