Charges under Highway Traffic Act and Controlled Drug and Substances Act
Queens District RCMP received a call complaining of erratic driving in the Bonshaw area Friday night and were able to locate the suspect vehicle, which led to several charges.
Questioning the male driver revealed that he had a suspended license, and the vehicle was not registered, nor insured. Police also seized a large quantity of marijuana during the encounter.
The driver was arrested and is facing Highway Traffic Act fines as well as criminal charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He has been released and will face a court appearance in March of this year.
Police thank the general public for their assistance by reporting driving complaints.
