MONTAGUE - For the second time in two days, a tip from a member of the public to the Kings RCMP has resulted in the apprehension of an impaired driver.
Shortly afternoon, Thursday, Kings District RCMP received a 911 call from a motorist reporting a Ford pickup truck that was "all over the road" heading into the community of Montague.
The caller provided a licence plate number and description of the truck.
A short time later RCMP members stopped the vehicle on Main Street in Montague and arrested the driver for impaired driving.
The driver was taken to the Kings District RCMP office in Montague where he provided two breath samples that were over twice the 80 mg/100 ml limit.
The driver of the vehicle, a 60 year old Souris man, will face charges of impaired driving and providing breath samples in excess of the legal limit and will appear in Georgetown Court at a later date.
