A 29-year-old city woman was also arrested and released from police custody and will appear in Summerside provincial court at a later date.

The arrests were made after East Prince RCMP, Prince District Joint Forces Operations and Summerside police executed a search warrant on a city residence.

The man and woman were arrested inside the residence, which was searched for evidence linked to an early-morning break, enter and theft that happened on Jan. 3 at Kinkora’s Big Dog Convenience store.

A vehicle was seized in relation to the crime and also is being examined for evidence linked to the break-in.

Police say that the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.

Anyone with information is asked to contact East Prince RCMP at 436-9300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-TIPS (8475).
