BORDEN-CARLETON — Traffic is currently running smoothly on the Confederation Bridge.
Restrictions had been put in place at 12 noon due to high winds.
Restricted classes include automobiles towing trailers, motorcycles, highsided vehicles including trucks, tractor trailers, recreational vehicles, and buses.
Although the bridge is currently open to all traffic, the site-specific weather forecast received from Scotia Weather Services today indicates that wind conditions may result in further restrictions.
Beginning at 3 p.m., winds were projected in the 65 to 80 kilometre range gusting to 95 kilometres per hour.
The forecast indicates these conditions will remain the same until about 11:59 p.m.
