SUMMERSIDE - A syringe-weilding robber struck a Summerside convenience store Sunday night.

Water Street robbery

At about 8:40 p.m., police received a 911 call from the clerk at a local service station/convenience store on Water Street.

It was reported that a man, approximately 6 feet tall and wearing a dark colored jacket, hood and sunglasses pointed a syringe and needle at the clerk and demanded the money from the till at the Circle K/Irving store.

The clerk responded by passing over the money and the suspect fled the scene on foot.

Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man. Anyone with information is asked to call Summerside police at 902-436-1201 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

    Steve give ur head a shake.pretty sure they can afford to pay minimum wage for two people,what are you on anyway?what do u think its costing them to investigating this crime?and its our tax dollars paying for it.unless u are one of those sitting on ur butt.

    well who's fault is that .Summerside being as small as it is and the police know where most of the druggies are start putting them in prison stop giving them slaps on the wrist and crack down on the mules and suppliers,As for the store's there should never be only one employee working alone.

    First of all there should be at least two people working at any stores.when there is only one person working,i think there is more of a chance that there is gona be a robbery.

    Are you kidding me?!!!! A syringe and needle?? What is wrong with people now a days. Throw something at him!!, you are on the other side of a counter. Pick up the phone and call the cops, the idiot will run. If I owned the store the one working that shift would be fired for sure. Coward!!

      haha, you'd make national news with a firing like that. I'd be curious to see what you do if it really happened to you. Either way employees are always told not try to fight the agressor.
