Police advise motorists to stay off the road

SUMMERSIDE - Summerside Police Services is advising the motoring public to remain off city streets unless absolutely necessary.

 

TPolice said tere have been reported cases of whiteout conditions in different areas of the city making driving conditions treacherous and a public safety issue.

The public is also reminded of the following section of the city's 'Traffic & Parking Bylaw says: 'In order to facilitate snow removal from the streets of the city, during the period of November 1st to April 30th, no person shall park a motor vehicle on any streets within the city or on property owned by the city between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., except with the permission of the chief of police or his/her designate.
