Paramedics and police are attending the scene of a snowmobile accident this morning near Coleman, in western P.E.I.

Emergency crews were called to a snowmobile accident near Coleman, P.E.I., just after 11 a.m. today, Dec. 18.
At 11:10 a.m., RCMP received a 911 call alerting authorities to the accident, which occurred near Coleman Corner, approximately 1 km from the Route 2 highway near O’Leary.
Two men were driving their snowmobiles when one of them struck something and the driver was thrown from his machine, said RCMP Sgt. Andrew Blackadar.
Police and Island EMS had to reach the scene of the accident by snowmobile.
“Paramedics are out with him now and our police are with him,” Blackadar said.
The full extent of the man’s injuries is not known at this time.
