Police release video of car smashing into street light

SUMMERSIDE - Summerside police have released a video of a vehicle being sought in a double hit and run incident Thursday night.

Police said at about 8:30 p.m. a 2011 red Ford Edge came off Convent Street and struck a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan travelling North on Granville Street causing considerable damage to both vehicles.

The driver of the Ford failed to stop at the scene and continued to Water Street where it went east and struck and destroyed the light standard at the intersection of Harvard and Water streets. The driver also failed to stop at this scene.

Police said they have a suspect vehicle in this matter and are attempting to identify the driver at the time of the accident.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information in relation to this case is asked to call Summerside Police at 902-432-1213 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

    watched the video but i see no one stopped to see if they could help nothing lol they could have tried to take the keys from the guy/girl. but no one stopped what a shame i wonder how the drivers who did not stop feel if they found out later the driver hit a child or killed someone?
