SUMMERSIDE – If all goes as planned on Friday, dozens of electric vehicles from all over North America will come rolling into Summerside throughout the day.
The E-mazing Race will be finishing here and all cars must sign in with organizers before 3:30 p.m. The finish line is the Holland College building at 223 Water Street.
The race is organized by Sun Country Highway and is being advertised as the world’s longest electric vehicle race.
The event kicked off in Seattle, Washington, on Sept. 3 and has been monitored by the Guinness World Records.
Anyone who wants to take a look at the all the electric vehicles can catch a glimpse during a short parade that will be taking place, starting at 5 p.m. from Holland College and ending at Hemphill GMC, at 34 Water Street.
The public is also invited to take in some time trials and drag races with some of the participant’s electric vehicles. These will be on Saturday at Slemon Park, 30A Aerospace Boulevard, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
