TIGNISH -- Tignish Municipal Council will hold a special residents meeting on September 23 to present options for sidewalk snow clearing.
Municipal council has been investigating routes and costs since last winter when residents presented a petition asking that sidewalks be kept clear, much like they are in Alberton and O’Leary.
The public meeting will be help in the municipal building at 7 p.m.
Council did note, during a special meeting on August 28, some of the initial costs associated with starting up the service. It was indicated it would cost in the area of $10,000 to relocate utility poles and guy wires along Philip Street.
