SUMMERSDIE – The cruise ship Yorktown is in Summerside today.
This is the second of three scheduled stops the ship is to have in the city before the end of the year. The next is Oct. 5. It was previously here in June.
Owned by the Great Lakes Cruise Company the Yorktown carries more than 150 passengers and crew.
The ship was built in 1988 and renovated in 2009. It is 257 feet long and 43 feet wide with a draft eight feet.
