SPRINGFIELD WEST — A 14-year-old West Point male was injured in a collision between two off-road vehicles Saturday.
The collision occurred just before 7 p.m.
West Prince RCMP attended the accident, which occurred on Route 176 in Springfield West, where a 125 cc dirt bike operate by the West Point teen collided with another off-road vehicle.
He was taken to hospital for a lower leg injury and later released.
The other off-road vehicles fled the scene and the matter is still under investigation.
Police said this collision further highlights the importance of these vehicles not being operated on roadways, and that they be operated by trained, certified riders.
