NORTH RUSTICO – Watermark Theatre is celebrating a great season with closing parties on Aug. 30, 31 and Sept. 1.
“Our reignited classics have enjoyed so many fabulous audiences that we’re reigniting classic wrap parties in celebration. Bar manager, Lynda Turnbull, hopes to empty her cupboard this weekend, too,” said artistic director, Duncan McIntosh.
Friday night’s performance of “Stories About Storytellers” brings the irrepressible and funny publisher and editor Douglas Gibson to the stage. Stories of his life with writers like Robertson Davies, Alice Munro, Pierre Trudeau and others are hilarious and revealing. This P.E.I. performance completes the Canadian tour.
“Rondelay: Variations On A Kiss,” closes on Saturday night followed by “A Seduction Cabaret.” Singers providing intimate, sexy performances include Tim Chaisson, Meaghan Blanchard, Jordan Cameron and many others. Door prizes and a Seduction photo booth will be presented by Charlottetown’s Love Charlie.
The closing performance of “Alice In Wonderland,” which the Eastern Graphic called the “must see theatre show in P.E.I. this summer” will be preceded by a Juice Works Blueberry Tea Party.
P.E.I.’s mini-masterpiece “The Shore Field” is the season finale. The show will be followed by a dance with ‘70s cover band The Third Harvest, the drawing of the winners of the art raffle and door prizes for everyone.
Tickets to all of the events are available at www.watermarktheatre.com or by calling 963-3963.
