SUMMERSIDE — City police are looking for a man who they believe is responsible for two break-ins at local businesses overnight.
One business was broken into on Noonan Street and a small quantity of cash was taken. From there, the suspect appeared to have entered a Harvard Street business, stole cash and a flat-screen television.
Police are awaiting a copy of security video from each business, which will be posted on the City of Summerside’s website.
Two city preteens were caught Wednesday evening defacing a vacant property.
Summerside police apprehended an 11-year-old and 12-year-old spray painting the old Summerside Manor building on Granville Street.
The youths, said police, will be dealt with accordingly.
At around midnight, city police responded to a complaint of a man who appeared to be asleep in a driveway on Myrtle Street.
Officers arrested a 52-year-old Summerside man for public intoxication and also charged him with possession of a narcotic under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
