Kings District RCMP and their Street Level Drug Team executed a drug warrant late Tuesday evening on a residence on Peters Road. As a result of the search, police seized one pound of hash, cash, scales and a loaded firearm.

The man, whose name has not been released, faces charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and firearms charges.

"One of Kings District’s priorities is the disruption of the drug trade in Kings County,” said RCMP Staff Sgt. Dave Thibeau. “This latest drug search is the fourth in the last few weeks where our officers have seized significant quantities of drugs and have disrupted the drug trade in Kings County.”
