SUMMERSIDE — A 24-year-old city man is behind bars facing charges of possession of child pornography and breach of probation.
Over the weekend, Summerside Police Services arrested and charged Tony Joseph Laviolette with one count of possession of child porn and two breaches of his probation.
The probation breach allegedly involves Laviolette having contact with a female under the age of 16 without another adult being present.
He also allegedly breached a second term of his probation to remain away from any public park or swimming area where anyone under age 16 may be present, including daycares, school grounds, playground areas or community centres.
Laviolette is scheduled to appear in Summerside provincial court this afternoon.
