Maritime Electric now reports that the old power pole has been removed and a new one installed.
Crews are doing some final checks before switching power back on to thousands of customers in Prince County.
Power is expected to be back up around 9 p.m.
Thousands of customers are without power at this hour as Maritime Electric deals with the consequences of a pole fire in St. Eleanors.
According to the company the fire was on its main transition line, meaning the whole pole has to be replaced.
Approximately 10,000 customers have been affected. Maritime Electric is trying to reroute power where it's able but repairs could take upwards of four hours.
