Thousands of customers are without power at this hour as Maritime Electric deals with the consequences of a pole fire in St. Eleanors.

According to the company the fire was on its main transition line, meaning the whole pole has to be replaced.

Approximately 10,000 customers have been affected. Maritime Electric is trying to reroute power where it's able but repairs could take upwards of four hours.
