The O’Leary Health Centre walk-in clinic will be closed today (Feb. 14), and the emergency department at Western Hospital in Alberton will close at 10 tonight, due to a temporary lack of physician coverage.

Priority is given to filling physician shifts at the emergency department, which has resulted in the closure of the O’Leary walk-in clinic today. The emergency department will re-open at 8 a.m. tomorrow.

West Prince residents with urgent medical needs should call 9-1-1 or seek emergency services at the Prince County Hospital or the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

In non-urgent situations, all Islanders are encouraged to visit their family physician’s office or a walk-in clinic. Locations and hours are available at www.healthpei.ca/walkinclinics.
